At CANESS, we are happy to accommodate dietary requirements with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Please note that our menu contains allergens and is prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, seeds, dairy, shellfish, gluten, garlic, and other common allergens. While we take all reasonable precautions to cater to individual needs, we cannot guarantee dishes will be free from allergens due to shared kitchen environments. Guests with severe allergies are advised that we cannot accept liability. If you still choose to dine with us, please be aware that while every effort will be made to accommodate your needs, CANESS cannot be held responsible for any adverse reactions. To help us provide the best possible experience, please notify us of any dietary requirements via email at least 48 hours before your booking, and kindly ask for the manager and inform him/her upon arrival.
Kindly note that for groups of 6 or more we charge a 10% service fee, which goes straight to our chefs, bartenders and waiters who worked on your event. This surcharge does not apply on Sundays.
Kindly note, we hold tables for up to 15 minutes, so please try to arrive on time for your booking. If you’re running late, your booking duration won’t be extended, as we have other guests scheduled after you. To enjoy the best experience, arriving on time helps us ensure you have the full duration of your reservation. Thank you for your understanding!

We don’t take phone calls or check voicemail, as written messages help us keep a clear record, avoid any mix-ups, and respond to you as efficiently as possible. For groups of 7 or more, we offer a set menu — but rest assured, we cater to all dietary requirements and allergies. You’re welcome to order additional items from our à la carte menu, or if you’d like to make adjustments to the set menu, just email us at bookings@caness.com.au and our team will be happy to help.
CANESS is not licensed for BYO. But you can make a selection from our delicious drinks list!
We’re big animal lovers at CANESS, and dogs are always welcome in our outdoor seating area. However, due to our limited indoor space and the busy flow of staff carrying hot food and drinks, we can’t accommodate dogs inside during service. Thanks for your understanding!
You are welcome to bring your own! We charge a cakeage fee of $5 pp.
Yes, CANESS is wheelchair and pram accessible via Oxford Street, and accessible bathrooms are available inside the restaurant. Please email our staff once you’ve made a booking to let us know you’ll be coming, so we can make sure you have the best table and enough space to suit your needs.
1.65% surcharge on credit cards, 2% on Amex. 10% surcharge on Sundays & 15% on Public Holidays. A service charge of 10% applies to parties of 6 or more (Sundays excepted).
