Caness is a Middle Eastern and Mediterranean tapas restaurant and wine bar in Paddington, serving small, playful share plates and an accessible international wine list. Guests are welcome to drop in for casual bites and a glass at the bar, or settle in for the full tapas experience with share-style mains.

There is no dress code at Caness. As a neighbourhood restaurant in Paddington, we welcome guests to come as they are. Most diners choose casual or smart casual, though plenty of regulars dress up a little for a special evening!

Caness is one of the more intimate Paddington restaurants for celebrations, suited to anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, and proposals. We offer large group dining for up to 18 guests with set menus and drinks packages, and exclusive venue hire for up to 60 guests with canapes option for standing events.

Caness requires credit card details to secure bookings at our restaurant in Paddington. No deposit is needed for groups of 11 or fewer. Groups of 12 or more require a $40 per person deposit, refundable with seven days’ notice.
